# Organisational transformation with AI: *the Thoughtful Robots way*#
People, organisational knowledge, systems and ways of working converge in workflows. Transformation is about how AI becomes part of them, and how the organisation comes to own the result.
## Our Understanding#
What does it mean for an organisation to transform with AI? At Thoughtful Robots, we think about it through four interconnected elements: **people, organisational knowledge, systems, and ways of working**. These aren't independent pieces — they converge in the organisation's **workflows**, where people draw on knowledge, interact with systems, make decisions, collaborate, and get work done.
For us, organisational transformation with AI is about understanding how AI can become part of and reshape these workflows, while building the capability for the organisation to ultimately **own and evolve** this new way of working.
## Our Approach#
At Thoughtful Robots, we work with organisations from understanding where they are today and where AI can create meaningful value, through building capability within their teams, to putting in place and maintaining the foundations that support AI-enabled ways of working.
We structure this across three areas: **Advisory & Readiness, Workshops & Training, and Installation & Maintenance.**
## Advisory & Readiness#
**Advisory & Readiness** is where we work with organisations to understand where AI belongs before deciding what to build. We look at their workflows, how decisions are made, where knowledge sits, and how people and systems interact today. From there, we identify and prioritise opportunities where AI can be useful, while considering the data, access, governance and ownership needed to support them.
The outcome is a clearer view of where to move forward with AI, what needs to be in place to do so responsibly, and whether the right decision is to **build, buy, or wait**.
## Workshops & Training#
**Workshops & Training** are where we build the practical skills and judgement people need to work effectively with AI. We work with teams on areas such as **prompting, context engineering and AI evaluation**, knowledge curation, and retrieval — using their own workflows wherever possible so that learning is grounded in the work they actually do. We also tailor the learning to different roles, from product, design and engineering teams to organisational leadership.
The aim is not simply to teach people how to use today's AI tools, but to give them the understanding and practical capability to **shape how AI is used within their organisation and make better decisions as the technology evolves**.
## Installation & Maintenance#
**Installation & Maintenance** is where we put AI to work within the organisation. We help connect organisational knowledge to AI and integrate it with the systems and tools people already use, using approaches such as **MCP, plugins and Agent Skills** where appropriate. We also put in place the access, evaluation and monitoring needed to manage these capabilities effectively.
From there, we support the organisation with **documentation, handover, maintenance and upgrades**, so the capability can continue to work and evolve as the organisation's needs and AI technology change.
## Our Goal#
For us, the measure of a successful AI transformation is not just what gets introduced or built, but what the organisation is able to do with it afterwards.
Our aim is to leave organisations with the **capability, confidence and ownership to continue shaping how AI becomes part of the way they work**.
Figuring out where AI belongs — in your product or how your organisation works? **Let’s work through it together.**
### Getting ready for AI: *knowing where to begin*#
How an organisation understands its workflows, identifies and prioritises AI opportunities, assesses readiness, and decides what to build, buy, wait on, or stop.
